Why Cohorts?

Our community of students has always been at the center of the Firehose Project learning experience. As part of our ongoing push to improve the student experience and educational quality of our Program, we're doubling down and focusing on enhancing our community. Because of this, we've made the decision to become a cohort-based Program which will allow us to implement a number of improvements.

Cohort Improvement

More JavaScript

We've introduced more JavaScript into our Program. Our core curriculum now includes Angular, Node.js, and React.js. For our upcoming cohorts, we'll also be providing early access to our brand new JavaScript application.

Cohort Improvement

Experienced Guest Speakers

We're going to be introducing guest speakers at strategic points throughout the Program. These speakers will include senior web developers, or influential people within the web development space and offer insights in areas including finding a job, life as a developer, emerging technologies, and tips & tricks to use on the job.

Cohort Improvement

Improved Mentor Sessions

We'll be gathering performance data on you and your cohort throughout the Program. This data will be given to your mentor to further tailor mentor sessions to address potential areas of weakness and make sure you're fully grasping concepts that will make you job-ready.

Cohort Improvement

Expanded Graduate Network

We're officially formalizing our graduate network. We'll give you the opportunity to learn from past coding bootcamp students during dedicated sessions. You can meet with our graduate network to learn how they crafted their resumes, searched for jobs, and navigated technical interviews.
